Item Content

Item content defines Item descriptions which can be shown on the documents for your customers such as hotel or activity descriptions within an itinerary.

How to create content for an Item

  1. Log into Kaptio Travel and select Kaptio Travel Settings from the drop down menu in the top right hand corner of your screen.
  2. Click the Items tab at the top of your screen.
  3. From the list of Items select the relevant Item.
  4. Click Content on the left hand side of your screen and the following will appear:content

How to create a short description for an item

The short description does not appear anywhere by default, but can be displayed within documentation for your customers. You can learn more on how to create content templates in the Content Templates article under Business Units And Channels and you can learn more about creating documents for your customers in the Creating Itinerary Documentation article.

  1. Under Short Description on the Item specific content screen enter one or two paragraphs to describe this item. NOTE: All formatting will be removed when pasting text into this editor.
  2. Click Save at the the top of your screen.

How to create a voucher message for an Item

  1. Under Voucher Message on the Item specific content screen enter a short message or description which will be displayed on customer vouchers for this Item. NOTE: All formatting will be removed when pasting text into this editor.
  2. Click Save at the the top of your screen.

How to create itinerary content for an Item

  1. Click New Content in the Item content section at the bottom of the Item specific content screen and the following screen will appear:item-content
  2. Under Target, select from the drop down menu whether this content relates to the Item or one of the Item’s price categories. For example, you can create a general description for a hotel or room type specific descriptions.
  3. Select a Language from the drop down menu.
  4. Enter a Content Name. The content name is a system name which will not appear on any documents for your clients.
  5. Select which Stage Type Categories this Item content relates to. You can deselect a stage type category by clicking the X on the relevant tag. You can learn more on how to set up the stage categories for your business in the App Settings General Information article.
  6. Enter a Title for this content which will appear as a heading for this Item description on your customer documents. Optionally you can also add a Subtitle for this Item content.
  7. Under Content enter a description for your Item which is the text which will be displayed in any itinerary content including this Item. NOTE: All formatting will be removed when pasting text into this editor.
  8. Once you have entered all details click Save at the the top of your screen.
